Thank you so much for taking the plunge and becoming the first person to follow my Numin Center blog! It gave me a chance to discover your beautiful art here. The images are so strikingly archetypal–really moving. Although I live in California, I had the good fortune to live in Victoria, BC, for a year and was able to enjoy some of that glorious North you enjoy in Canada. I have to get back!
If you do come back, I hope that Ontario might be in your sights. I know the Rockies are gorgeous and that BC is a province that can consume a lifetime’s worth of investigation, but Ontario is also intriguing in its own way.
The ‘Near North’ is a patchwork of lakes and cottages running from Kenora to Ottawa and Southern Ontario is what I’d call a ‘soft country’ with farms, woodlots and gentle hills.

I love your painting, and photographs. It’s simply beautiful and intense.
I read on one of your post that you had a dream of a sort of caduceus. It’s fascinating because it’s also an ancient symbol for healing before it was even picked for medicine, and I was just reading about it in a book about chakras. Maybe, you body was telling you something 😉
Your words “Art must reflect life as the artist sees it, balanced within the material and inner worlds, ” match the idea of our theme on painting this month. I’d be glad to answer any questions about my personal approach to art on your blog. Often, I’m away somewhere or just busy, but I will answer as much as possible when online.
My medium is acrylics, mostly, and have never worked in watercolours, but that really doesn’t matter when talking about art in a general way.
Also, using one of my paintings on your blog is fine with me. For a really easy search through all that I’ve listed, go to the header on my Home Page and click on ‘Paintings’. Scrolling through that, you will even find one which shows the chakras. 🙂
